We are pleased to announce the results of the election held during the closed session of the Annual General Meeting on November 18, 2022, at 64-23 Broadway, Woodside, NY 11377. The newly elected board members will serve from November 2023 to November 2025. Here are the elected individuals and their respective positions:

5. Ram Krishna Maharjan - The Joint Secretary
6. Prem Gopal Maharjan - The Treasurer
7. Sajana Maharjan - The Joint Treasurer
8. Birendra Shrestha - Executive Director
9. Ashok Shrestha - Executive Director
10. Surja Laxmi Shrestha - Executive Director
11. Dinesh Shrestha - Executive Director
12. Sarita Shrestha - Executive Director
13. Sarita Bhaila Karmacharya - Executive Director
14. Hriday Tuladhar - Executive Director
15. Lakesh Shrestha - Executive Director
16. Krishna Maya Maharjan - Executive Director
17. Sundar Maharjan - Executive Director

The Election Policy was diligently followed, including the announcement of application and nomination procedures with specific timelines for submission, closure, and the election process. Notably, the election for the President position resulted in Mr. Bijay Man Singh securing 106 votes, while Mrs. Shrijana Tuladhar received 62 votes.

The Election Committee accepted and validated late applications, adhering to the responsibilities and exercising authority as outlined in Article VII Section 6 of the Election Procedure in the Bylaws of Newa Guthi, ensuring the fulfillment of the required number of board directors.
