Newa Guthi New York and Newa Nakha New York jointly presents Nhudanya Bhintuna Rally 1144.

We are thrilled to announce the release of the first Newa Guthi souvenir “Smarika” on the occasion of the 6th World Newah Day. The souvenir will include articles in the field of Newa culture, literature, heritage, language, and civilization by renowned persons along with the historical context and activities of the Newa Guthi. This is our first souvenir which is going to be released on that day after 16 years of its establishment. World Newah Day which is also one of auspicious day for our community and celebrated annually, to unite Newah’s around the World and brings awareness within its civilization and beyond our communities.

The convention is scheduled for August 5-7. 2022 at LaGuardia Plaza Hotel, New York.

Since 2014, this organization has joined with Federation of Indigenous peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA) and is collectively working as a team to promote and flourish our indigenous culture and heritage and to protect our rights, globally.

Guthi system is the identity of Our Newah Civilization that affects each an every Newah People  from birth to death. It has preserved our temples, traditions and festivals. Moreover, It has united all Newah Community.

We are very serious concern about the presented bill because it has failed to address the core value of the Guthi System and the people who are taking care of it for many generations.The presented Guthi bill has attempted to destroy the centuries old Guthi system in Kathmandu Valley that has existed since Licchavi period.
